Other Competitions
- Outside of FLL, our team participates in many other STEM competitions. In FLL, we learnt about mission strategizing, and we use the same techniques for our Science Olympiads
- Our team helps each other and other friends prepare and study for various other STEM competitions, such as MathCounts, Math Olympiad, MO Math and Science Olympiad
- Neha tutored her fellow peers in Science when they were having trouble understanding and she used the values of teamwork to create a team of mathletes for a Math Club
- In the spirit of inclusion, Anika also helped her new classmate in school. She invited her to sit with her in school. When a classmate wasn’t in school, she invited a girl who didn’t have a partner to join her team.
- Anvi helped resolve issues in her group english project using what she learned from FLL. She listened to everybody’s ideas and assigned roles and positions to different people for time management and teamwork.
- Khushi used her programming/designing skills acquired from FLL to make a remote control robot, which she showed to the Ardsley Library Lego Club. She also used these skill to teach her mother how to program an EV3 for her STEM Enrichment program.
